BOURNEMOUTH ROAD
A colourful 4 bed to 6 bed HMO, four of the rooms with ensuites. A second kitchen was added upstairs as space allowed and a colourful and cosy TV room too ☺
You will see from the pictures, damp had leaked through the ceiling in places, tiles had
slipped and guttering blocked. The dormer windows were rotten at the back of the house
and the garden was very overgrown!
Having stood empty for two years, it was great to be able to provide six individual tenants a lovely new home.
Colourful HMO conversion
First job is getting the house water tight!
The picture below on the left shows the damp caused by the leaking roof in one of the bedrooms and on the right the finished bedroom.
Transforming the largest room in the house with its own kitchenette and ensuite
A bathroom to kitchen! With ensuites in the bedrooms this room was put to better use creating an extra kitchen in the house.
The main kitchen was suffering from a lot of damp and was cold and unappealing. Once the damp was dealt with, the room was insulated and a new kitchen fitted making a lovely space to cook!
With some clever design one room become two bedrooms and a separate shower room!
Below is the bedroom most affected by the roof leaking hence it had to be stripped back to start again.
This is now a stunning and cosy space for the tenants to relax in.
Outside space is very important to us so we always make sure any renovation we do includes garden design and a lovely space for our tenants to use during the summer months.
